Qatar Foundation runs a need-based grant for students admitted to Carnegie Mellon's campus in Doha's Education City. The page calls it a grant programme for students of all nationalities, and the money does not have to be repaid. Depending on the family's circumstances the grant can reach the full cost of attendance; the page puts total tuition and fees for 2026-2027 at USD 72,500. Housing is provided by Qatar Foundation, though the student pays it a one-off damage deposit of USD 550. The grant can be combined with a CMU-Q academic merit scholarship.
