The American University of Sharjah sets aside funds for strong undergraduates with limited financial resources. The page says grants are awarded regardless of race, colour, gender, religion or national origin, so applicants from abroad are inside the scheme. You apply after admission, once the official offer letter is in hand.

The size of the grant depends on the family's need and the applicant's academic record; the page publishes no fixed sum. Students living on campus in a shared or double room may get partial help with residence hall fees. For a first-time student a grant, a merit scholarship and the family tuition grant together can cover up to 55 percent of tuition and fees.
