The Swiss federal excellence scholarship is for early-career researchers who already hold a master's degree. The SERI country sheet for Asia opens two types to Uzbekistan — the research fellowship and the PhD scholarship — and not the art scholarship, and neither pays for bachelor's or taught master's study. You first obtain a letter of support from a professor at a Swiss institution, then file the dossier through the Swiss embassy in Tashkent.
