A scholarship from ANSO, the alliance founded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences: every year it funds 100 to 200 master's students and 300 PhD students at the University of Science and Technology of China, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and CAS institutes. The only nationality condition in the call is that applicants must not hold Chinese citizenship, so a citizen of Uzbekistan can apply. Applicants must be proficient in English or Chinese.

What it covers
Full: tuition and living costs
The table in the call gives a master's awardee a tuition waiver, a stipend of CNY 3,000 a month for up to 36 months, health insurance, an application fee waiver, one international trip from the home country to China and a one-off visa allowance. PhD awardees get CNY 6,000 or 7,000 a month. Accommodation is not listed separately in the table.
