The University of Turku charges tuition to every non-EU/EEA citizen but supports strong students with scholarships. There is no scholarship for the first year; instead master's entrants get a EUR 2,000 early-bird discount. Scholarships for the following years are decided on the results the student earns at Turku itself.

What it covers
Part of the tuition
Every student who meets the requirements receives a scholarship covering 50 per cent of the next year's tuition, awarded on academic merit alone. The early-bird discount is EUR 2,000 and goes to applicants who accept the place and pay within 28 days of the admission decisions. Living costs are not covered.

Dates
There is no separate deadline: the scholarship is considered together with your programme application. Work to the admission deadline of the programme you choose.
There is no separate first-year scholarship deadline because there is no first-year scholarship: to get the discount you pay within 28 days of the admission results. Scholarships for later years follow automatically from the credits earned at the university.
