Stipendium Hungaricum is the Hungarian government's main scholarship for international students, running since 2013 on the basis of agreements with more than a hundred countries. Uzbekistan is a sending partner: at bachelor level Uzbek applicants may pick any field except legal science, sport science, arts and arts education, and at master level medical and health science is open too. Documents go into the DreamApply system, and a separate package to the ministry is not compulsory.

What it covers
Full: tuition and living costs
Tuition is waived in full. Bachelor's and master's holders receive HUF 43,700 a month towards living costs for twelve months a year, plus either a free dormitory place or HUF 40,000 a month towards rent. Medical cover follows Hungarian law and adds supplementary insurance of up to HUF 65,000 a year. The foundation states openly that these sums do not cover every cost of living.

There is one deadline a year and nothing is accepted after it. For the 2026/2027 intake the online application closed on 15 January 2026 at 14:00 CET. The sending partner, Uzbekistan's Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education, may set its own date, which it announces on edu.uz.
