Japan's government scholarship for study at a specialized training college (senmon gakko), aimed at school leavers. The 2027 guidelines give three years including one year of Japanese language preparation. The applicant must hold the nationality of a country with diplomatic relations with Japan and be born on or after 2 April 2002, which leaves the route open to citizens of Uzbekistan.

What it covers
Full: tuition and living costs
The guidelines state 117,000 yen a month, a waiver of the entrance examination, matriculation and tuition fees, and an economy-class ticket to Japan and back. Students in designated regions get 2,000 or 3,000 yen a month on top, and housing is not paid separately.

The application goes to a Japanese diplomatic mission and each mission announces its own document deadline. Study starts in April 2027 and the first screening is run by the mission itself.
