The Qatar campus of Carnegie Mellon awards a limited number of academic merit scholarships each year to its most promising applicants, funded by Qatar Foundation. The page says merit-based scholarships and need-based grants are available to students of all nationalities. There is no separate form: to be considered you submit the Qatar Foundation grant application.

Part of the tuition
The page publishes no figure for the merit award, and the number depends on the funding available that year. It can be combined with the Qatar Foundation need-based grant, and holders are told about it at the same time as their first financial award letter.

The merit award has no date of its own: it is decided from the Qatar Foundation grant application, so the same 20 November Early Decision and 1 February Regular Decision deadlines apply.
