KTH Royal Institute of Technology funds its own scholarship for fee-paying master's applicants. The competition is sharp: in 2025 only 8 per cent of scholarship applicants who were admitted, 65 out of 803, were nominated. Besides grades the assessors weigh how the applicant intends to contribute to sustainable development.

What it covers
Full tuition
The scholarship covers the full tuition fee of a one- or two-year master's programme, with the second year conditional on satisfactory first-year results. Living costs are not included and stay with the student.

The scholarship has its own form: as announced on the page it opens on 1 December 2026 and closes on 15 January 2027, with results on 1 April 2027. Before that you must apply to the programme through universityadmissions.se and have your documents in by 2 February.
