The Swedish Institute funds a full master's scholarship in Sweden for citizens of the 34 countries on its list, and Uzbekistan is one of them. It applies only to English-taught master's programmes on the Institute's eligible list, and you must first be admitted through University Admissions. Work and leadership experience decide the competition: applicants from Uzbekistan must show at least 3,000 hours of work experience.

What it covers
Full: tuition and living costs
Tuition is paid in full, sent by the Institute directly to the university each semester. On top of that come SEK 12,000 a month for living costs and a one-off travel grant of SEK 15,000. Insurance, family allowances and the University Admissions application fee are not covered.

There are two deadlines: first the master's application through University Admissions (16 October to 15 January in the 2026 cycle), then the scholarship application in the Institute's own portal (9 to 25 February 2026, closing at 14:59 CET on the last day). Results are announced in April.
