What you need to apply
General country requirements
This entry is general Bachelor’s admission in India: the university is in the catalogue but its individual programme pages are not verified yet, so the country's general requirements are shown instead.
Check the university’s own page before you plan around it.
India, bachelor’s
The Ministry of Education's Study in India portal sets 10+2 years of schooling as the minimum for an undergraduate course, so an 11-year Uzbek attestat does not reach it on its own. Teaching at the partner institutes is in English; the level is shown with IELTS, TOEFL or the institute's own test, and no national minimum score is published. A school qualification taken abroad is recognised by an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities. After the offer letter you take the student visa at an Indian mission and register with the FRRO within 14 days of arrival.
With an Uzbek attestat (11 years)
One year at a university in Uzbekistan
The portal says: "the minimum requirement for students to take up an undergraduate course is 10+2 years of schooling". The source says nothing about an Uzbek 11-year attestat, so the most conservative reading is taken: add a further year after the attestat (a college, a lyceum or a first university year in Uzbekistan) to reach twelve years, and have the qualification confirmed by an AIU equivalence certificate. AIU makes the final decision.
Documents
School certificate
The school-leaving certificate is what the 10+2 rule is checked against; the Study in India application asks you to upload your academic documents for verification.
Academic transcript
Not checked yetAIU's equivalence enquiry list names the academic transcript for the last class passed and a transfer certificate or letter from the principal confirming the last examination passed.
Passport
The student-visa document list names a passport with 6-month validity, and the portal elsewhere asks for a passport valid for the course duration.
Photograph
Passport size photographs are on the student-visa document list, together with a photocopy of the passport.
Financial statement
Applicants should possess proof of admission to a full-time regular academic course in a reputed/recognized educational institution in India and evidence of financial support; the document list names a bank statement. No amount is stated — the Indian mission sets it.
Apostille
Not checked yetIndia and Uzbekistan are both contracting parties to the 1961 Apostille Convention (India in force 14-VII-2005, Uzbekistan 15-IV-2012), so an Uzbek education document is legalised with an apostille and not through an Indian consulate.
English certificateOptional
An IELTS or TOEFL report is one of the accepted ways to show English; the institute's own English aptitude test is the alternative, so the certificate is not required by everybody.
Certified translationOptional
Not checked yetThe national pages do not state a translation rule; AIU asks for the academic transcript and the transfer certificate, and an Uzbek document in Uzbek or Russian normally needs a certified English translation before an institute or AIU will read it. Confirm with the institute.

Other requirements
Equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities for a school-leaving examination taken abroad
Not checked yetThe Evaluation Division of AIU is vested with the power of according academic equivalence to the degrees obtained from the accredited foreign Boards/universities, and an Equivalence Certificate is issued for the students having completed their School Level Examinations from Foreign Boards.
Registration on the Study in India portal, choice filling and an offer letter
To join the Study in India programme, you need to Register on the website and apply to the institutes of your choice and preference; you have to fill in a minimum of 3 institute preferences during choice filling.
English proficiency evidence set by the institute — IELTS, TOEFL or the institute's own English test
It varies from institute to institute, but generally, scores of IELTS or TOEFL are considered; the portal adds that a student who scored the required marks in the institute's English aptitude test is also eligible. No national minimum score is published, so none is given here.
Proof of residential address for the student visa file
Proof of residential address is on the student-visa document list.
Formal admission letter from a recognised Indian institution before the visa is applied for
Student may apply for the same after receiving an admission offer letter from any of the Study in India partner institutes, and the visa document list names a formal admission letter and details of the university.
Student visa obtained from an Indian Mission or Post abroad before travelling
All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa obtained from an Indian Mission or Post abroad.
Registration with the FRRO through e-FRRO within 14 days of first arrival
People visiting India on Student Visa(S) valid for more than 180 days are required to get themselves registered with concerned FRRO, within 14 days of the first arrival, irrespective of the duration of the stay.
Health insurance arranged by the studentOptional
You will not receive medical insurance with an Indian student visa. However, some institutes do provide medical insurance to their international students. It is advised that each international student should get medical insurance.
