What you need to apply

General country requirements

This entry is general Bachelor’s admission in Latvia: the university is in the catalogue but its individual programme pages are not verified yet, so the country's general requirements are shown instead.

Check the university’s own page before you plan around it.

Latvia, bachelor’s

For a Latvian bachelor your school certificate has to match the Latvian standard: the official page asks for at least 12 years at a secondary level education institution, and an Uzbek 11-year attestat is a year short of that. The Academic Information Centre (AIC) evaluates the qualification — about a month, EUR 54.60. The study language, mostly English, must be at least CEFR B2. The residence permit is granted on 500 euros of subsistence per month.

With an Uzbek attestat (11 years)

One year at a university in Uzbekistan

Study in Latvia states that the secondary education certificate must correspond to the Latvian standard - it should be at least 12 years at secondary level education institution. An Uzbek 11-year attestat does not meet that, and the page does not name the bridging route, so the conservative reading is taken here: a year of university study at home, then apply with the AIC statement, which says what additional requirements must be met to achieve the required compliance.

  • Certified translation

The Academic Information Centre may request translations of documents into Latvian or any other official language of the European Union.

  • Apostille

The Academic Information Centre may request legalization under the Document Legalization Law; Latvia (in force 30 January 1996) and Uzbekistan (15 April 2012) are both parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, so an apostille replaces consular legalisation.

  • Teaching is in LatvianOptional

    Not checked yet

The B2 rule is written about the study language whichever it is, so a Latvian-taught programme asks for the same level in Latvian; the page names no Latvian test.
