The University of Alberta's largest entrance award: each year 25 students with a superior admission average and demonstrated leadership who are starting the first year of an undergraduate degree on a study permit receive it. There is no separate form — you fill in the university's single scholarship application, and you must have applied to an undergraduate degree programme first.

What it covers

Part of the tuition

The award is paid over four years and reaches up to 120,000 Canadian dollars in total. The page does not say that it covers the whole cost of study, so the rest of the living costs should be planned for separately.

Dates

We do not have the date of the next round yet.

  • Usual monthsUsually October–January

The page gives 10 January as the deadline for application-based scholarships but does not name the year. Offers start going out in early winter, so the admission application has to be in well before that date.
