The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship pays for an entire undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and is one of the largest such programmes in Canada. About 37 scholars are chosen each year, and only a student nominated by their own school may enter: each high school may nominate one student per year. The programme looks for academic achievement, creativity and the potential to contribute to the wider community.

What it covers
Full: tuition and living costs
The award covers tuition, books, incidental fees and full residence support for four years.
Who can apply

- Other conditionMust be an international student requiring a Canadian study permit, in the final year of secondary school or a recent graduate, starting at Toronto in the September intake.

The page prints the dates for the September 2027 intake. Schools receive the nomination form from 6 July 2026 and must nominate by 9 October 2026, the admission application to U of T is due 16 October 2026, and the scholarship application with all documents closes on 6 November 2026.
