The University of Waterloo gives 10,000 Canadian dollars to every international fee-paying student admitted to full-time, first-year degree studies. No application is required: the award is granted automatically and shows up on the awards tab of the applicant portal from mid-April. It does not replace or reduce any other Waterloo entrance scholarship a student may win.

The award is 10,000 Canadian dollars for the first year of study, paid as two instalments of 5,000: one in late July towards first-term tuition and one in late November towards second-term tuition. The page says it is generally not carried into later years.

There is no separate deadline: the scholarship is considered together with your programme application. Work to the admission deadline of the programme you choose.
There is no separate scholarship deadline. Applying to Waterloo for first-year entry is enough, and the award is granted with the admission decision and shown in the applicant portal from mid-April.
