Japan's main government scholarship for master's and doctoral study. The application goes to the Japanese embassy in Tashkent, which runs the first screening itself before MEXT confirms the award. The official guidelines say an applicant must hold the nationality of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan, and Uzbekistan is one of them.

Full: tuition and living costs
Tuition is waived, a return flight is provided, and the table on the page puts the monthly stipend at 143,000 to 145,000 yen. Six months of preparatory Japanese is added when the recipient needs it.

The 2027 guidelines put the first screening between early May and late July and say the document deadline is set by each Japanese diplomatic mission. Check the embassy announcement for the exact date.
