Lithuania also funds short-term study, one semester of at most six months, and citizens of Uzbekistan are on the eligible list. The 2026 call offered up to 35 places, with no more than five grants going to citizens of any one country. The applicant must already be a student at a university abroad and hold a signed Conditional Agreement with the Lithuanian host institution.

What it covers
Monthly stipend
First- and second-cycle candidates receive EUR 592 a month and third-cycle candidates EUR 1,184. The exact amount shifts slightly with the number of study days, and the money is meant for the holder's own costs only.

The scholarship application is separate from admission: first the agreement with the university, then the application. In the 2026 round the system closed on 17 April at 16:00 Vilnius time, with results announced by 15 June.
