What you need to apply

General country requirements

This entry is general Bachelor’s admission in Russia: the university is in the catalogue but its individual programme pages are not verified yet, so the country's general requirements are shown instead.

Check the university’s own page before you plan around it.

Russia, bachelor’s

You apply to a Russian bachelor directly or through the state quota on education-in-russia.com. The documents are notarised Russian translations of the passport and the attestat, a recognition certificate where one is needed, and medical certificates. Each university sets its own entrance examinations and deadlines. If your Russian is short, the preparatory faculty comes first.

With an Uzbek attestat (11 years)

Foundation year

The attestat is normally recognised, but teaching is in Russian: a year at the preparatory faculty is required if your Russian is short. With good Russian you can enter directly.

Documents

  • School certificate

The education document with its grades, in notarised Russian translation.

  • Academic transcript

    The grade supplement.

  • Passport

A scan of every page of the passport, with a notarised translation into Russian.

Tests

  • Teaching is in Russian

Programmes are mostly taught in Russian; the preparatory faculty is the route when your Russian is not yet enough to follow lectures.

  • Any one of these is enough

Minimum grades and years of school

  • 11 years of school

Russian and Uzbek school systems are close, so the attestat is normally accepted; a recognition certificate settles it where the university asks for one.

  • 3.5 on the Uzbek 5-point scale

An indicative attestat average. Universities rank on their own entrance examinations rather than on the certificate alone.
