What you need to apply

General country requirements

This entry is general Bachelor’s admission in Sweden: the university is in the catalogue but its individual programme pages are not verified yet, so the country's general requirements are shown instead.

Check the university’s own page before you plan around it.

Sweden, bachelor’s

A Swedish bachelor is open to an Uzbek attestat directly: the University Admissions country instructions for Uzbekistan accept the Umumiy O'rta Ta'lim To'g'risida Shahodatnoma together with the final transcript. The courses and programmes open to you are taught in English, and English itself is asked for at English 6 level: IELTS 6.5 with no section below 5.5, PTE 62, Cambridge C1 Advanced 180. The application fee is 900 SEK. The residence permit needs SEK 10,656 a month, comprehensive health insurance and a SEK 1,500 fee.

With an Uzbek attestat (11 years)

Straight into the first year

University Admissions, the joint admission system of Swedish universities, states on its Uzbekistan page that the accepted qualification is the Secondary School Certificate with the final transcript with all subjects and grades, the Umumiy O'rta Ta'lim To'g'risida Shahodatnoma. So an 11-year attestat applies directly with no bridging year; what may still be missing is the English 6 and mathematics requirement.

Documents

  • School certificate

From Uzbekistan the accepted upper secondary qualification is the Secondary School Certificate with the final transcript with all subjects and grades: Umumiy O'rta Ta'lim To'g'risida Shahodatnoma, the Certificate of Full Secondary Education; the Academic Lyceum Diploma, the Professional College Diploma and the O'rta Ma'lumot To'g'risida Shahodatnoma are also accepted.

  • Academic transcript

The final transcript with all subjects and grades is named together with the Secondary School Certificate in the instructions for Uzbekistan.

  • English certificate

The test report is how the English 6/English Level 2 requirement is documented in the application.

  • Passport

You submit a copy of the page in your passport that shows your personal data and photograph, or equivalent identification.

  • Certified translation

You must submit your documents in the original language and also provide an official translation, completed as well as signed and stamped by a translation company or a person who works as a translator; accepted languages for translations are Swedish and English.

  • Financial statement

You must show at least SEK 10,656 per month if you applied in 2026; the amount is reduced by SEK 2,960 if food is free and by SEK 4,736 if housing is free.

  • ApostilleOptional

Sweden (in force 1 May 1999) and Uzbekistan (15 April 2012) are both parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, so where legalisation is asked for an apostille is what applies; University Admissions itself asks for an official translation rather than an apostille.

  • PassportOptional

You must have a valid passport for the residence permit; this row repeats the application-side passport row because the Migration Agency states the condition separately.

  • PhotographOptional

Before a decision you must present your passport and be fingerprinted and photographed, and the Migration Agency uses that to produce the residence permit card, so you do not upload a photo yourself.
