What happens to your documents and data
Admission documents are personal: grades, a family budget, often a passport scan. This page says in plain words what INTAKE does with them and how you can check each statement yourself.

What we do, and how to check it
Your documents belong to you
In this version of the service your profile, answers and documents are kept only in your browser and are not on our servers. You decide what to upload, and you can delete any file at any time.
How to check: Every file on the Documents screen has “Delete file” in its menu.
We send nothing to universities: you apply yourself
INTAKE does not submit applications and does not write to universities on your behalf. The applications screen is yours to keep: noting there that you have submitted an application changes only your own record in INTAKE.
How to check: The terms of service say the same.
Documents are not used to train AI models
In this version no AI reads your files: after an upload you see sample values for the demo, marked as such. They do not go into your profile; only values you type in yourself do. No document is used to train models.
How to check: After an upload the panel shows what was read, with “All correct” and “Correct it”.
You can download and delete everything yourself
One button downloads everything the account holds as one file. Another, after one confirmation, clears everything this browser holds for the account and signs you out.
How to check: Open your profile, section “Your data”: the buttons “Download my data” and “Delete account” are there.
We do not know your email password: you sign in with a code
You sign in with your email address and a one-time six-digit code. INTAKE has no passwords at all, so we never ask for one, and never for the password to your email.
How to check: The sign-in page asks only for your email address, then for the code.
Who pays us
Only users of the Plus and Pro plans pay us, on the plans page. Universities do not pay us: not for a place in the catalogue and not for a place in your list. Nobody can pay to change the order of your list, because payment is not part of the score.

Limits
What you will not find here
- Security certificates or audit badges. We do not show anything you could not check yourself.
- A lawyer-reviewed text. The privacy policy, the terms and the public offer are written in plain language by the INTAKE team, and a lawyer has not reviewed them.
- A promise that the service cannot fail. This is an early version, and no online service can honestly promise that.
